November in Berlin: Culinary Delight x 4

November’s here and it brings us culinary delights: a vegan fair, street food, wine and the dinner show Palazzo are waiting for us.

After the successful premiere last year, the Berlin Streetfood Festival at Europa-Center takes place from 3 to 5 November for the second time. Its motto is “Five Continents – Five Kitchens”, showcasing delicacies from around the world such as kumpir, burritos and waffles. And: It only takes two minutes by foot from the Hotel Palace Berlin to the festival.

Shalom Berlin: The Jüdische Kulturtage from 4 to 12 November are celebrating their 30th anniversary. Concerts, plays, movies, readings and a club night featuring DJ Tomer Maizner from Tel Aviv are on the program. On the evening of 12 November, the grand closing concert with Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All Stars and Eleanor Reissa takes place at Synagoge Rykestraße.

Shops will be open on Sunday, 5 November, on the occasion of the 54th Jazzfest Berlin. Our tip for you: Start Christmas shopping right now so December will not be that stressful for you!

Artisan craftworks, design and natural goods: products from exotic countries are showcased at Bazaar Berlin from 8 to 12 November. More than 500 salesmen from 60 countries display their special works in the five theme worlds Art & Style, Natural Living, World Market, Fair Trade Market and Winter at Home. Special Christmas gifts can be found here!

Palazzo is starting again on 9 November. This year, the dinner show can be found at a new location at Hertzallee, right next to Zoologischer Garten station. Palazzo traditionally combines a delicious dinner menu with an exciting show: Acrobats, dancers and musicians from around the world take their guests on a journey through the arts.

The latest vegan and sustainable trends can be seen at VeggieWorld and Heldenmarkt at Station Berlin on 11 and 12 November. VeggieWorld presents vegan gastronomical concepts, manufacturers and tastings whereas Heldenmarkt showcases sustainable food, cosmetics, fashion and furniture.

The Christmas Garden Berlin delighted Berliners and visitors alike last year and now it is back for good! Colorful illuminations and brightly shining trees await visitors from 16 November to 7 January 2018. Even more highlights than last year are expected, the circular route will be two kilometers long. If you are ordering your tickets online, you will be able to skip the lines at the entrance!

Winemakers and wineries present their new and best wines at WeinBerlin on 18 and 19 November. More than 900 wines can be tasted – German wines from the Moselle, Wuerttemberg or Rhinehessen are on show just like sorts from France, Australia and Chile. Cheers!

Christmas will be here soon! Many of Berlin’s big Christmas markets traditionally open in the penultimate month of the year – this time on 27 November. Taste mulled wine and ginger bread and rejoice about the upcoming holidays! Gifts can be found, for example, at Weihnachtsmarkt am Schloss Charlottenburg, Winterwelt am Potsdamer Platz or WeihnachtsZauber am Gendarmenmarkt. You can find an overview with the opening dates here.
