Did you know? Berlin does not only have lots to offer for art, culture and history fans, but also for shopaholics.

You will find our tips for shopping in Berlin here:

The Europa-Center is a real West-Berlin original. It was built with the American model of the shopping mall in mind and opened in 1965. Today, it offers diverse shops – from adidas to Rituals, from Wellensteyn to Hunkemöller, and from Nike to Fossil. The Europa-Center is located just one minute by foot from the entrance of the Hotel Palace Berlin, as it belongs to the same complex of buildings.

One of Berlin’s most known shopping area is Charlottenburg’s Kurfuerstendamm – a true paradise for luxury shoppers and only five minutes away from the Hotel Palace Berlin. Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Valentino have made their homes here just like Prada, Tommy Hilfiger and Chanel. Of course Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Bulgari and Swarovski can be found here as well.

Just a few steps from Kurfuerstendamm, in Schlueterstrasse, you will find the Paul Davis Flagship Store. The young Canadian designer creates innovative men’s fashion in combining European craftsmanship with his North-American perspective on fashion.

The Tauentzienstrasse, the extension of Kurfuerstendamm, is the home to Peek & Cloppenburg, Uniqlo and Benetton among others. At the end of the street, at Wittenbergplatz, you will find the well-known KaDeWe, the Kaufhaus des Westens. The largest department store on the European mainland offers goods on 60,000 square meters. On the 6th floor, visitors will find the popular deli department where all culinary dreams will come true.

The Galeries Lafayette at the center of Friedrichstraße bring French style and l’art de vivre to Berlin. On 10,000 square meters, international brands, selected Berlin designers, beauty products, jewellery and French delicacies are on sale.

The Designer Outlet Berlin is located just 30 minutes from Berlin. More than 80 boutiques will delight shoppers. Designers such as Escada and Hugo Boss can be found next door to Desigual and Esprit. Sports and street wear and accessories for house and home are up for sale as well.

The Mall of Berlin at Leipziger Platz houses about 270 stores – more than any other shopping center in Berlin. Jewellery, electronics and furnishings are presented next to Armani Jeans, Lacoste, Thomas Sabo, H&M and C&A.

The shopping mall Alexa is located at Alexanderplatz and is easy to find due to its pastel colors and circular arcs. This year, there are lots of changes and news at Alexa – for example, intimissimi and O Bag have just moved in.
